$CTH Functionality


Token Utility

$CTH Tokens have a wide range of Utility.

  1. Staking:  Possible special rewards if token holder actively participates in the game's eco-system (details TBD)

    • $CTH tokens (if allowed by various governing authorities/jurisdictions)

    • $ASL tokens

    • NFT Agents are awarded directly or holders are entered into a lottery (multiple tiers, odds)

    • Other NFTs, also via a direct award or lottery/raffle*

    • In-game resources (Quantium, orbs, items, etc.)

  2. Special Access/VIP Status

    • "Early Access" dev builds, new features

    • Special leaderboards

    • VIP-only Tournaments

    • Alternative revenue models? (e.g. subscriptions, TBD)

    • Non-token benefits (TBD)

  3. In-game features where $CTH tokens are used

    • Entry fees for tournaments, lotteries, special events

    • Alternative currency for purchases in the shop

    • Special purchases that only the $CTH tokens can buy

      • Grab bags/combo packs

      • Mission packs

    • NFT "Crafting"

      • Multiple requirements:

        • Specific game achievements

          • Agent must reach a specific XP-based level

          • Creatures have to be captured & researched

          • Special items must be found

          • Special mission goals (bonus/secret ones) have to be achieved

          • Certain Base levels must be reached: HQ building & recruitment center

        • The spending of $CTH tokens with the exact amount fluctuating over time, based on the rarity type of the agent and a monetary algorithm

      • Crafting variations:

        • Primary option: turn a "regular" agent into an NFT agent

          • Involves some randomization of properties

          • Customize it in some way to make it visually unique, if desirable or necessary (swap out head/neck/eye ornaments, special skins, backgrounds, etc.)

        • Secondary options/other agent ideas:

          • Upgrade an NFT agent into a "deluxe" NFT agent

          • Combine 2 NFT agents into a new "super" NFT agent, original 2 NFTs are "retired"

        • Create an NFT artifact that combines 2 or more "regular" artifacts

        • Build an NFT level/mission (pays out in-game resources only as rewards, not tokens)

      • Crafting is the process of transforming "regular" agents into NFT ones

    • NFT Purchasing in a “special” part of the recruitment center in Base

Token Acquisition

Tokens are acquired in a variety of ways.

  • Investment/allocation rounds (private & public rounds)

  • Purchased on exchanges (date TBD)

  • Play & Earn game mechanics

    • Design considerations

      • Actions that grant $CTH tokens (need to have an element of skill/effort *)

      • Categories of behaviors that will be rewarded

        • IAP (i.e. real money) *

          • Purchase of big-ticket items

          • When total dollars reach certain thresholds

        • Retention

          • As part of the daily grant/award retention system (e.g. on the 7th day of consecutive logins and beyond)

        • Virality actions (in-game, Twitter, discord)

          • Email campaign (ala mail chimp)

          • User acquisition: giving credit via referral codes

          • Tweeting to non-players

        • Community building

          • Sharing user-generated level/mission

          • Gifting

        • Multiplayer

          • Winning/placing in tournaments or other special events

          • PvP combat

        • Single-player (game progression)

          • Completing "chapters"

          • Completing bonus goals of certain missions

          • Building base to specific levels

          • Capturing creatures

      • Tracked as part of a broader achievement system (on a centralized server)

      • Actions that can be repeated need to have time-boxed caps

      • Where is the token reward collected? In-game or out-of-game
